The historic Porta Historica road connects Svitavy Square with the western part of the city. The historic gate, symbolized by the underpass, depicts the area of the so-called shared history of two nationalities - Czech and Polish, as well as the modern partnership of two cities, Lower Silesia Strzelin and historically Moravian Svitavy.
